Andreza Jorge has been working for more than fifteen years on social projects focused on gender, ethnic-racial relations, diversity and sexuality in Complexo da Maré.
Andreza Jorge has a degree in Dance from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a master's degree from the postgraduate program in Ethnic-Racial Relations at CEFET-RJ, with research into the relationship between building the self-esteem of black women and the educational processes present in social projects in the favelas. She worked as a teacher in the Body Art department at UFRJ. She is currently a doctoral student in the Graduate Program in Performing Arts at UFRJ and in the ASPECT Program at Virginia Tech (State University), United States, with a focus on Cultural and Social Studies. She works as a consultant for national and international organizations.
