Radiatu’s work at GAI aims to amplify the voices of marginalized women affected by the impact of large-scale land investment. Her responsibilities include designing advocacy strategies through evidence-based field investigations and strengthening women leadership around the issues of land and natural resources. Radiatu’s life commitment to the rights of women who depend on forests was sparked after witnessing massive land grabbing activity in her home country of Liberia. Land grabbing has led to serious insecurity among women groups currently dominated by a biased governance system that maintains century-old taboos and traditions that enslave women.
