Matt founded Ecohustler Online Magazine in 2009 after world leaders flushed The Kyoto Protocol down the loo at COP 15 (UN climate conference). Appalled at the state of the world and the gross dereliction of duty of those in power he set out to amplify alternative ideas and approaches to environmentalism.
Specifically, using ecohustler as a platform for reframing an ecological future as a huge opportunity - not a sacrifice. Professionally, Matt is a communicator and strategist specialising in movement building, public affairs and environmental campaigns. He has worked on flagship programmes led by Nobel Prize winner Wangari Maathai and HRH Prince Charles, with major corporations and the United Nations and for organisations including: BioRegional, Global Action Plan and Compassion in World Farming. He has a degree in Biology from the University of Bristol and a first class MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London. He is a Global Change Ambassador for Round Table Global and an associate adviser to 38 Degrees.
